This week our staff took part in a pizza making competition, for which they put the Blizzard BPO ovens to the test! Winner of the pizza challenge, happily walked away with a great prize, whereas everyone else got to enjoy a tasty freshly made pizza for lunch!

 

We started off by preparing Neapolitan pizza dough with the help of the Blizzard FMX10 food mixer. The appliance helped us achieve perfectly stretchy dough, mess and hassle free!

All we needed to do was add the right ingredients at the right time and allow the mixer to do its thing.

 

 

 

A fantastic work surface which the staff got to work on is the one and only Blizzard Pizza Prep Counter with Neutral Drawers and Granite Worktop, otherwise known as the BPB1500-7N.

The drawers came in handy for storing balls of dough, ready for staff to use. The granite worktop made it so easy to do pizza prep and assembly as we didn't have to worry about scratching it or staining the surface. Some of us made plenty of mess but the clean up was quick and pain free.

 

 

Star of the show, the BPO Pizza Oven range from Blizzard, turned out to be a great success! Each pizza took under 5 minutes to bake, ready to eat straight away. Perfectly fluffy and crispy base, melted cheese and cooked all the way through pizza toppings.

We baked our fresh pizzas at 350C for about 5 minutes, which took slightly longer than premade pizzas would as those take just 3 minutes to cook.
