Meet the team
Directors

An enthusiastic and commercially driven Director with a background and qualification in Finance. I have great pride in leading a business with such passion and commitment to serving our customers, the team and I are fully focused on ensuring our customers can confidently recommend and supply the Pentland range of equipment.
My focus since entering the Pentland Group 5+ years ago has been to build on the Company’s strengths of industry knowledge and product innovation, the technical experience and commercial nous of Maxine, Dean and the team has allowed us to increase our range of product, strengthen our brands quality offering and continue to deliver growth in sales.
I am very hands on and always looking to engage with customers and ensure that we continue to listen.
Outside of work my time is taken up by family (2 kids, exhausting!), football (a red team that plays in Manchester) and (occasionally) spotting our brands whilst out socialising.

With both my Dad & Uncle running successful refrigeration businesses in the Northwest I was never interested in being a nurse or a teacher when I left school, I was always going to ‘sell fridges’ and 30 plus years down the line I still have my dream job.
Having been involved in all aspects of a refrigeration business over the years, (with the exception of engineering – much to my Dad’s disappointment!) I was well equipped to help set up Pentland Wholesale at the inception in 1993. My role now as Commercial Director involves sourcing new products and working with suppliers from all over the world to ensure we bring the very best quality, value for money products to our customers.
In my spare time I would love to say I enjoy doing lots of energetic sporting activities but in reality I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my black Labs and eating out.

A time served refrigeration engineer with over 30yrs experience in all aspects of the refrigeration industry from commercial and industrial to analytical, pharmaceutical and semi-conductor applications.
Progressed through engineering positions within several European countries eventually moving into Management and finally as a Director and a proud member of the IOR. Ensuring our customers enjoy a professional, courteous and efficient experience when dealing with any member of our team is of paramount importance to me.
Aside from the day to day running of the company I am heavily involved in the selection and development of our equipment and brands and enjoy dealing with the challenges a business of our size encounters. My interests include playing golf, keeping fit, eating out and socialising with friends.

I have 15+ years sales experience in the refrigeration & catering equipment industry. I specialise in customer account management, sales processes, lead generation & customer & marketing strategy.
I’m extremely committed to ‘customer focus’ and believe a business that has a “customer focus” is one which takes the time and trouble to understand and address customer needs. it is essential that a business has a good understanding of what customers want and need from a product and we work hard to exceed expectations ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
In my leisure time I enjoy reading, fishing & socialising with the occasional drink or three at various pubs around the country.

Having over 31 years’ experience in the commercial refrigeration and catering sector, I have worked in many areas within the company group, starting as an apprentice learning many skills in a wide variety of work from the engineers I worked with. I also attended college to build up my technical knowledge and gained my qualifications which are renewed frequently. I worked as a service engineer, becoming a senior engineer having a wealth of experience in a wide variety of commercial refrigeration and catering equipment, covering fabrication, design, installation and service. I am electrically qualified having a HNC in Electrical and electronic engineering, also qualified to the 17th edition of the electrical wiring regulations. I am qualified and experienced to install and service a wide variety of commercial gas fired catering equipment both LPG and Natural gas, and hold relevant refrigeration qualifications conforming to F Gas refrigeration qualifications. I enjoy developing and presenting training seminars and as a qualified assessor value the importance of passing on my knowledge to others.
Having worked loyally within the company for over 31 years, I have seen it grow and always been proud to be a member of the team making things happen. Pentland Wholesale has had a great input into developing my skills and I am personally committed to ensuring it performs well.
My leisure time is spent with DIY, walking, swimming, and visiting English heritage sites and entertaining my young Children.

Transport
Warehouse

Proud to be a key player in Pentland’s early days, I have been with the company for over 25 years. I manage a small team to ensure that goods are moved on and off the warehouse floor efficiently and safely. I’m in the committee of Health and Safety to ensure all regulations are fully complied with. I’m also responsible for the day to day running of stock as I need to make sure we have enough space to accommodate our £3m worth of stock.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with friends and family. I’m also passionate about keeping fit.
